Please visit the new Reins Fishing Company Store!

Free shipping on all orders over $25 in the USA

Reins is one of Japans top Bass Fishing Brands.  Their top selling soft plastics are world wide favorites of serious anglers.  Reins added Tungsten sinkers in 2009, and they have also proven to be some of the best you can buy.  Their newest additions include 2 new sizes of our popular "Ax Craw" crawdad (My go to for hanging on the back of Tabu's OWS Jig!), and a new larger size in our "Swamp Mover".  They have also added Red and Watermelon Seed colors to our Tungsten slip sinkers"

A new shallow running crankbait with a twist!

Brought to you by Optimum Baits, imported from Japan's Trophy Bass lure manufacture!
KORRIGAN-SR/コリガン-SR

LENGTH:35.0mm WEIGHT:3/8oz
DIVING RANGE(Depends on type of line)Floro Carbon 12lb~16lb:Ave3-5 ft

The Korrigan SR is a shallow running crank that literally induces it's own strikes.                                                                 How does it do this? When the water that catches from it's uniquely designed flat lip releases,                                            a kickback in the bait happens. This "automatic warped action" is mimicing a baitfish trying to                                            escape its prey. It features a unique flat lip design, wide square back, fixed weight and is ideal                                         for throwing in shallow areas around rip rap, hard bottoms, lay downs and stumps.

VIVID WOBBLE & AUTOMATIC KICKBACK ACTION
VIVID WOBBLE & AUTOMATIC KICKBACK ACTION
Just like with the DC-300 the lip will intermittently release the water that catches and produces                                          a kick back action. Just like when it hits structure and bounces back, the Korrigan SR will do                                         that occasionally on its own. Every angler knows that most strikes come on crank baits when                                       some sort of reflection happens and that is exactly why the deps designers created a bait to                                              do it on a straight retrieve.

 BOTTOM KNOCKING
BOTTOM KNOCKING
The uniquely designed flat angled lip allows the bait to crash hard against shallow structure                                             and avoids getting hung up. Typically this flat angled lip is found on deeper range crankbaits                                                but designers of the Korrigan were able to make it work so the bait hunkers down and                                           produces that bottom knock known to trigger strikes.

HOOK SETTING

HOOK SETTING The front and back hook positioning were designed so even with oversized hooks, there will be no locking between the two.

SQUARE BACK BODY FORM
SQARE BACK BODY FORM   The square back allows for the bait to keep a small silhouette                                                profile but at the same time offer a very buoyant style shallow crank                                       which swims in wobbling artform. Even with a fixed weight system,                                             the design allows for long distance casting without being blown around.

What's my favorite Jig and Trailer?

Jig:
On natural inland lakes with lots of weed/grass it's hands down the Tabu Tackle OWS
Jig. The jig was designed for swimming, however it an ideal design for everyday pitching.

Pros:
Fine wire hook and soft wireguard = makes for excellent hooks sets. Tied skirt, makes it a great choice for working docks
Cons:
Hook point around cover - finer wire hooks simply need to be resharpened any time you contact hard cover like rocks, docks, etc. So keep a file handy and check your hook often.

Trailer:
The Reins Ax Claw - this is without a doubt the perfect jig trailer. What makes this Japanese soft plastic so special is surely its potent shrimp like scent and more importantly is its profile. Bite off a half inch and it makes for a nice semi-compact design when paired with the above mentioned Tabu Jig.

Pros:
Scent, design, soft yet durable, colors, and available in pro-packs (large qtys)
Cons: n/a

This combo has really proven itself to me over the last two years!

The ima flit is red hot when the waters not!

The larger 120mm flit was the deal today the winds were howling and the extra mass of the larger flit proved to be important to find the active bass. The most crucial thing when fishing water under 50 degrees is the pause! Don't forget it!
